it looks over-edited on the skin and around the shoulders.
it kinda distracts from the great lighting and feeling the photo could protray.

I really like this except for the mouth, it seems as if the the model is about the say something or is finishing saying something. Its not even and its kinda awkward, but other that that, I really like the photo. The lighting is great, and so is the composition. Keep up the great work Kime, your gonna do great things!

before I forget to tell you, I might as well comment

you already know my main gripes about the piece, however I was just reading the other somments. I can kind of see how it's over editted. Cheeks feel glossy smooth ^_^;;; and not in the good way. I think just a small tone down, and that could do it. (next time of course xD )

Good example of lighting meets editted skin: [link] (from the fashion blog) The reason this isn't as awakward I think is because we see clear contours of what the shadows create. The helps define the figure and not leave it in a very mushy mess.

Suggestion for another photo project: Try doing a photoshoot with really intense light source just like the photo I showed and maybe oil up the model? XD And try editting out all the nastiest but keep a very perfect feel to it.

Oh and was the shoulder thing on purpose? Unsure if it was lighting or your editting.

Another thing that the second comment showed me was she does seem like she is about to say something ^_^;

More like this though! Getting better. More experimentation. AND MORE WORK EVERYDAY!

I know~~ I think I try so hard at making the model look flawless that I forget to make it not so "flawless"-- this isn't a dreamworld kime!! okok~ and thank you for the link bc that is very helpful! I saw the picture before when looking on the site and my first reaction is "...she's so shiny..." lol~~ so I definitely need to try and do more of stuff that I don't particularly take a fancy too because then I can try it out and maybe I will like the way it turns out~~

and I will definitely be taking photos with intense lighting next time! that sounds liek fun~~~

what is the shoulder thing you are talking about? is it how the edges are blurred or what?

and her lips...I understand about that too~ while looking at it more and how her skin is so overly smooth, I think that somehow took away from her jaw and how the lips where supposed to be formed
